Welcome
Dear Visitor
Our student atelier and model-making workshop provide an inspiring environment for both individual and group creative work, while also encouraging participation in an active academic community. Project-based design assignments, combined with real-life spatial perception and design processes, equip students with the knowledge and skills required for contemporary professional practice.
The programme’s educational objectives are further supported by creative workshops, summer design camps, and student design competitions. In addition to the specialised knowledge offered through the various specialisation modules, a wide range of elective courses allows students to tailor their studies to their individual interests.
The degree provides full professional design qualifications recognised across Europe. Our extensive international network offers opportunities for study and practise abroad, while graduates of the integrated 5-year Master’s Programme and the 2-year MSc programmes are also eligible to apply for doctoral studies.

Program Descriptions
Detailed Information on Study Programs
Integrated Master's Programme in Architecture (5 years)
The 5-year integrated Master’s Programme in Architecture combines the comprehensive artistic and engineering approach of traditional Hungarian architectural education, with a strong emphasis on architectural design. The curriculum provides students with all the essential knowledge and skills required for professional practice, including architectural and interior design, design thinking, creative design based on the fundamental principles of buildings and structures, architectural representation and communication using both traditional and digital tools, the understanding, conservation, and protection of architectural heritage, as well as expertise in building materials, construction technologies, and construction management.
Throughout the programme, basic courses, core subjects, and specialisation modules are carefully structured to build upon one another, giving students increasing freedom to create a personalised study plan that reflects their interests and career goals.
We recommend this programme to students who are interested in architecture in its full complexity and who see their future primarily in the field of design. Graduates earn the degree of Architect and are eligible to obtain professional design licences, opening up a wide range of career opportunities in architectural practice.
Bachelor's Programme in Architecture – BSc (3.5 years)
The Bachelor’s Programme in Architecture provides a solid foundation for continuing studies in a Master’s programme leading to professional design qualifications, while also introducing students to the wide range of disciplines within architecture. The courses in the renewed curriculum combine theoretical and practical knowledge of architectural and building design with studies in structural engineering, architectural heritage, building materials, construction technologies, and the fundamentals of construction management and administration.
In addition to developing creative problem-solving skills, all projects include training in architectural graphic and verbal communication, helping students acquire the competencies needed for a successful professional career.
After completing the BSc programme, students can continue their studies in the renewed two-year Master of Architecture (MSc) programme. By completing any of the offered specialisations, students can deepen their professional knowledge and become eligible to obtain professional design licences.
We recommend the Bachelor’s Programme in Architecture to those who are interested in architectural design, construction, and the built environment, but have not yet decided which specific area of the profession they would like to pursue.
Master of Architecture – MSc (2 years)
The Master of Architecture programme is open to graduates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, whether obtained at our institution or at any other Hungarian or international university. The programme enables students to deepen their professional knowledge and prepare for full professional design qualifications required for architectural practice.
Building on a strong foundation in architectural design and architectural theory, the programme offers specialised modules focused on specific professional fields. In addition to the courses within their chosen specialisation, students are free to select subjects from other specialisation tracks, allowing them to create a personalised study programme and develop expertise that reflects their individual interests and career goals.
We recommend the Master of Architecture programme to graduates who wish to further develop the knowledge gained during their undergraduate studies and professional experience, specialise in one of the fields offered by the programme, and work towards obtaining professional design qualifications.
