Our Education of Architect Students at B.Sc. Level
The graduation as a B.Sc. qualifies its students in building execution, in preparation for implementation and its management, but with correspondent postgraduation the certification of architect can be reached. Our B.Sc. graduation is qualified excellent by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee; many of our former students became successful professional. The basic graduation of B.Sc. takes eight semesters in a sort of credit system. The executive decree which regulates higher engineering education orders that during the undergraduation the prospective architects has to became primarily capable in different areas of building (i.e. fabrication, venture, management, administrative authority). The execution of certain designing and research task can come within in their range of activity. The execution of building, which is the main activity of the B.Sc. graduated, claims to widespread engineering knowledge, which has to be integrated with knowledge of architecture. In the graduation of B.Sc. the aspect of engineering and technological knowledge prevails than in the graduation of M.Sc., where the aspect of architectural and artistic knowledge is more emphasized.
Our Education of Architect Students at M.Sc. Level
The graduation as an M.Sc. focuses mainly to the architectural design. The structure of its schedule is comparable to the schedule of the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Budapest (BMGE). During the graduation in B.Sc., the basics of the vocation can be experienced by outstanding practicing architects; the students can prove their skills and ability on more and more complex exercises in studio-like manual training. An important role is devoted to the computer-aided architectural design. Our students can be familiar with the technology and methodology of planning with ArchiCAD and Nemetschek, whose are used more and more widespread in architectural offices.
The goal of the graduation in M.Sc. is to qualify licensed architects, who are capable in landscape planning, generally managing all architectural and constructional tasks of forming the built environment, including the designing and construction planning tasks; are able to organize, to manage and control the building process; are able to solve tasks in Facility Management and in renovation; are able to function as a lecturer or theoretician; or to lead the job in a sort of administrative authority.
The schedule of the graduation of M.Sc. is formed according to the expectancy of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects, therefore after getting the license and passing the obligate practice time the whole scope of authority of architect can be acquired. To the students who need authority as a constructor from the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, credit subjects of Faculty of Civil Engineering are offered.
We help many of our students to go practice abroad. The licensed architects in M.Sc. will be qualified to embark on PhD trainig, too.
